LCP Applications for Approval

An awarding body may apply for approval as a labor compliance program under 8 CCR §16425. A suggested format for the application may be downloaded from the link below. As of January 1, 2012, the Department is only accepting applications from awarding bodies that are legally required to have an approved LCP for a project funded by Proposition 84 or a project awarded prior to January 1, 2012 that is still subject to a statutory LCP requirement.

The original application and all supporting documentation should be submitted to the Office of the Director of Industrial Relations, 1515 Clay Street, 17th Floor, Oakland, CA 94612. Attention: Executive Assistant to the Director.  Applicants are encouraged (but not required) to submit electronic copies to DIRLCP@dir.ca.gov as well as a hard copy of these materials.

Extended approval – An approved LCP that has carried out active enforcement responsibilities for three consecutive years may apply for extended authority under 8 CCR §16427.  Among other things, an applicant for extended approval must have a record of submitting and obtaining approvals of forfeitures pursuant to 8 CCR §16437. There is no suggested format for these applications.
