The Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) is excited to welcome its newly appointed Chief, Curtis Notsinneh. DAS Chief Curtis Notsinneh brings a wealth of experience that includes but is not limited to the following: Chief Deputy Director of the California Workforce Development Board since 2018, Corrections Workforce Partnership Manager in 2018, Director of Public Affairs for the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation from 2014 to 2017, Policy Director for State Assemblymember Tom Ammiano from 2011 to 2014, Senior Consultant for State Assemblymember Jerry Hill from 2009 to 2011, Deputy State Director for the Drug Policy Alliance – California Office from 2007 to 2008, Legislative Aide for State Assemblymember Jackie Goldberg from 2000 to 2007, Chair of the Stewardship Committee for the Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church, member of the Executive Board for the Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project, and more.

What Chief Curtis Notsinneh said: "We must strive for a workforce that reflects the diversity of our communities. As DAS expands high-quality apprenticeships across many sectors, DAS is doing so with an eye towards equity. Through registered apprenticeships, we are laying the groundwork for a future workforce that is innovative, inclusive, and boundless.
