Join Cal/OSHA May 6-10, 2024, for National Safety Stand-Down 2024: Fall Prevention
What is National Safety Stand-Down?
A Safety Stand-Down is a voluntary event for employers to talk directly to employees about safety. Cal/OSHA joins the Federal OSHA annual National Safety Stand-Down each year and we are inviting everyone to participate with us.
This year, the focus is on Preventing Falls in Construction, which focuses on Fall Hazards and reinforcing the importance of Fall Prevention.
How do I Participate?
Companies can conduct a Safety Stand-Down by taking a break to have a toolbox talk or another safety activity such as conducting safety equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, or discussing job specific hazards. Tailgate/Toolbox, Fall Protection in Construction, and other safety and health resources are available on the Cal/OSHA Publications webpage for all to use and incorporate in these activities.
